Drone footage captured the aftermath of Hurricane Isaias as it ripped through an apartment complex in Milton, Florida, tearing off roofs and scattering debris. The storm made landfall on Saturday, causing widespread destruction across the southeastern United States. At least four people were confirmed dead, with two of the fatalities resulting from trees falling on homes.
Local authorities reported that Florida had not received any search and rescue requests shortly after the storm made landfall, suggesting limited immediate danger. However, the storm continued to impact the region, leaving approximately 670,000 residents without power. The affected areas included Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi.
Hurricane Isaias weakened to a post-tropical cyclone as it moved inland, but officials warned of ongoing flooding and possible tornadoes.
