A former executive with Alberta's junior hockey team has been charged with sexually exploiting three players, according to the RCMP. Tyler King, 39, was arrested at a U.S. Border crossing in Ontario on Friday. The charges relate to his time as an executive with the team.

The RCMP confirmed that the three victims are from Alberta and Saskatchewan. They were part of the Junior A Hockey Team. An assistant general manager with the Okotoks Oilers was also implicated in the case. He had previously tipped off the RCMP.

The investigation revealed that the victims were minors. The RCMP is currently working to identify additional potential victims in British Columbia and Ontario. King was working with the State University of New York campus at Oswego in New York state when he was arrested.

This case follows a pattern of allegations against individuals in youth sports organizations. The RCMP has emphasized the need for greater oversight in such environments. The charges against King are part of a broader effort to address child exploitation in sports.

The incident has sparked discussions about the safety of young athletes and the responsibilities of team officials. The RCMP continues to investigate and support the victims.
