A man died after falling from the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia on Monday, officials confirmed. Witnesses described the man flying out of the ride and colliding with other passengers before landing underneath the coaster. The incident has led to the temporary closure of nine similar attractions across Six Flags parks in the U.S. And Canada.

Six Flags issued a statement saying the closures were made "out of an abundance of caution." The company is conducting an investigation into the incident. The victim, identified as a 42-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency services were called to the park following reports of the accident.

The incident occurred at a sister park to Canada’s Wonderland, where the Behemoth and Leviathan roller coasters were also closed as a precaution. The closures at the Canadian park were announced by a spokesperson for Six Flags. The cause of the fall is under review, and no official explanation has been released.

This follows a pattern of safety concerns at Six Flags parks, with similar incidents reported in recent years. The company has previously implemented safety measures and ride inspections following such events. The current incident has raised questions about the safety protocols in place at high-speed roller coasters.

The death has sparked discussions about ride safety and emergency response procedures in theme parks. Authorities are expected to release more details as the investigation progresses.
